Why have I been away?

As you may have seen in previous posts I lost my wee Mummy (coming up to 2 years ago), like many people have. She was my best friend and after she had gone I had time away and then picked myself up and got on with life. I found comfort being back in my craft room and sharing content here making use of this shiny new website I worked so hard to build myself with the help of my lovely mentor Louise.

But between my full time job and life in general things just became A LOT and I could not focus on the routine that creating consistent content required. I fell behind where I wanted to be with posting and then it just became a bigger and bigger job to play catch up with until I decided I needed to focus on being in survival mode – get up, get washed, go to work and get to the end of the working day, eat sleep and repeat and look after Daddy. Some will understand this and others won’t and that is OK. I want to be real about why there will be a gap in these posts for anyone scrolling.

Right now

This whole time I continued to purchase from Stampin’ Up and I am still a demonstrator and have made some things that I will share in the new content coming soon. There are also items I bought that are still in their wrapping or box which I have not got to play with yet. I am getting to a head space that I am starting to get excited to be in the craft room again and hopefully that will help me create new things and I can find joy in typing up blog posts again. I’ll admit when I started this one I had totally forgotten what most of the buttons do and how I like to lay things out so this one will defo be a little rough around the edges! BUT!…. as the subheading says – after a year away – watch this space!

Going forward

There are exciting things on the horizon with a new Annual Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! coming soon. I have already had a sneak peek and I think there is a good mix of items carrying over from previous catalogues and new items. This means if there were things on your wish list you never got round to getting you have another year to get it. But there are also lots of new pretty things with the usual coordination we have come to expect from Stampin’ Up! to inspire us.
